The Salle Philharmonique de Liège
The Salle Philharmonique de Liège (formerly Salle du Conservatoire) has been
administeredbytheOrchestrePhilharmoniqueRoyaldeLiège(OPRL)sinceSeptember
2000.
Thanks to the restoration carried out between 1998 and 2000, the acoustic
standard of the Salle Philharmonique rose from category B to category B+, which
places it in the front rank of European concert halls.
Since it reopened, the Salle Philharmonique de Liège has regularly served as
a recording studio for both the symphonic repertory and chamber music.
Testimonials from such artists as Philippe Herreweghe, Martha Argerich, Augustin
Dumay and Louis Langrée have led several major record companies to choose the
hall for its particularly flattering acoustic qualities.
