25 Why did you choose a French record label for this debut album? I have always felt a particular warmth from French audiences. I have a strong connection with France, where part of my career has taken shape. The piano technicians and sound engineers there are remarkable. And it is very rare for a label to place its trust in a young artist with such an ambitious programme. I have been very fortunate. I hope listeners will agree to undertake this journey with me. It is not an easy path, but it can be profoundly rewarding. When you explore the deepest and most painful parts of your being, you learn to know yourself better, to feel greater empathy, and to draw closer to a form of truth. So you are looking to transform your audience? Yes, absolutely. Every listener will interpret this album differently, and I find that deeply inspiring. I have drawn inspiration from a wide variety of sources.I have spoken to you about Stanley Kubrick, Alphonse de Lamartine and Gustav Mahler. There is also a an architectural space that fascinates me; Il Memoriale Brion (the Brion Tomb) in Italy, which inspired the album cover. Everything is captured on this album.
