26 ALEXANDER SCRIABIN ∙ NIKOLAI RIMSKY-KORSAKOV To sum up, this album has several merits: it will help to put Scriabin’s long-underrated Concerto in its rightful place; it will introduce most listeners to Rimsky-Korsakov’s Concerto; and, if I understand you correctly, it has spurred you on to prepare further works by Scriabin. I hope you aren’t mistaken on that last point and that I’ll manage to stay the course!
