Vanessa Wagner — We tried to devise a programme that we enjoyed, that seemed coherent to us, and which could also guide the listener towards new discoveries, to a broader vision of American music, which is too often restricted to the term ‘minimalist’. Even if they belong to the same movement, it’s clear from listening to their works that the styles and textures of Reich, Glass and Adams are personal and can’t be confined to the notion of ‘minimalism’.
