I met Pascal at the closing reception of a festival and saw at once that here was someone with a beautiful personality. A year later, during that same festival, we took part in a Schubertiade; Pascal improvised. I had the impression that I had never heard the accordion before. It was an immense sound: an organ, an orchestra! And a rhythmic momentum that lifts you up and sweeps you off towards the heavens. Since then, life has given us other opportunities to team up again on the concert platform, and the combination of the sounds of our two instruments, unusual though it is, delights us every time.
