80 Liège Philharmonic Hall Inaugurated in 1887 with the support of the violinist Eugène Ysaÿe, the Liège Philharmonic Hall / Salle Philharmonique is eclectic in style but basically of Renaissance inspiration. Built on the model of an Italian theatre, richly decorated with gilding and red velvet, it was completely restored between 1998 and 2000. The hall has seating for over 1000 people, with stalls, balcony, three rows of boxes and an amphitheatre of 240 seats. The vast stage, decorated with murals depicting Grétry and César Franck (1954), includes a Pierre Schyven organ (1888, restored between 2002 and 2005). Home of the Liège Royal Philharmonic, the hall is used regularly as a recording studio for symphonic, chamber and earlymusic. The testimony of personalities of themusicworld including Philippe Herreweghe, Louis Langrée, Pascal Rophé, Eric Le Sage and Paul Daniel has led several major recording companies (Harmonia Mundi, Universal, EMI Classics, Alpha, La Dolce Volta…) to choose this hall for its very fine acoustics リエージュ・フィルハーモニー・ホール リエージュ・フィルハーモニー・ホール（旧：リエージュ王立音楽院付属ホール）は、リエー ジュ出身のヴァイオリン奏者ウジェーヌ・イザイの協力を得て 1887 年に開館した。ルネサン ス期の要素を取り入れた折衷主義の建築様式が特徴で、“イタリア式”のホールの内装に は金色の装飾と赤色のビロードが贅沢に用いられている。同ホールは 1998 年から2000年 にかけて行われた改修工事を経てリニューアル・オープンした。その1000席を超える客席 は、240ある1階正面席の他、1階後方席、上階バルコニー席、3列のボックス席から構成さ れている。広大な舞台の後方にそびえるパイプ・オルガンは高名な製作者ピエール・シュ ヘイヴェンが手がけたもの（1888）で、2002年から2005年にかけて改修された。壁画（1954）
