41 XAVIER PHILLIPS, CÉDRIC TIBERGHIEN Cédric has performed solo and chamber recitals throughout the world, including London, Paris, Tokyo, Sydney and NewYork. He has a particularly close relationship with the Wigmore Hall where he is performing the complete Beethoven variations juxtaposed with works by other composers, thus illustrating the evolution of the genre. This repertoire is also being recorded for harmonia mundi, and the first volume is already available. The same label has released the Ravel Concertos with Les Siècles/François-Xavier Roth, a release that has attracted superlative critical acclaim, including the accolade of ‘Editor’s Choice’ in Gramophone Magazine. Cédric is a dedicated chamber musician. In addition to Xavier Phillips, his regular partners include violinist Alina Ibragimova, violist Antoine Tamestit and baritone Stéphane Degout. Alina and he first met as members of the BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists scheme in 2005; they have since performed together at major international venues and have an extensive discography.
